The footwear industry and dual training in the province of Tungurahua

Abstract

The objective of this research is to publicize the difficulties that the footwear sector and dual education are going through, knowing that Ecuador needs more than 30 million pairs of shoes, imports and smuggling subtract the participation of our micro entrepreneurs, being design, new materials and quality a weakness that must be transformed into an opportunity through training. The dual training has advantages, the analysis of the problems that the students have and their low participation of the community in the footwear manufacturing career is carried out, the fears of the producers are commented on when preparing professionals who, in time, will be the competition, the results of a survey made to the students will be announced about the reason for the application in this career and the desertion. Interesting alternatives are presented for youth to choose a dual career.
